March 21, 2021

5.8 / 10 Filterstudy Score
PFE1 Efficiency (0.3-1 μm)2.5
PFE2 (1-3 μm)6
Permeability / Pressure Drop8.9
Pros
* Low-maintenance. Lower replacement frequency.

* Quite good air permeability. The higher the permeability score, the less strain the filter would put on your equipment which should lower the cost of operating your furnace, air conditioner, and heat pump.

* Higher MERV rating than advertised.
Cons
* Borderline terrible performance at filtering 0.3-1µm particles, which are more likely to lead to chronic lung-related conditions.

* Average performance at filtering 1-3µm particles, which are more likely to cause various respiratory problems and other health and productivity issues.

* Requires an aftermarket filter housing which could potentially require a professional installation.
